Can You Remove PMU Eyebrows with Saline?
Permanent makeup (PMU) eyebrows — microbladed or fully tattooed brows — sit on some of the most sensitive skin on the face. That makes the choice of removal method especially important if you're unhappy with a shape, color, or fade.
Saline removal is well suited to this kind of work. Because it doesn't rely on heat or light to target pigment, it's considered gentler around the brow area than laser methods, and it doesn't carry the same risk of burning delicate skin.
The process for eyebrow PMU removal is much the same as for body tattoos: saline solution is applied to the pigmented area, drawing ink upward as the skin heals. Most clients need multiple sessions, spaced several weeks apart, to see the pigment lighten fully — the exact number depends on how much ink was originally implanted and how deep it sits.
This approach is commonly used for correcting botched microblading, fading old-style tattooed eyebrows before a fresh PMU appointment, or simply removing brow pigment a client no longer wants.
If you're considering removing or fading PMU eyebrows, a consultation is the best next step — we'll look at the pigment, your skin, and give you a realistic sense of how many sessions to expect.
