Emergency Saline Tattoo Removal

Within 12–24 Hours Of A New Tattoo

Emergency saline tattoo removal is for clients who've had a cosmetic tattoo procedure within the previous 12 to 24 hours and want the pigment removed straight away — usually because of an unsatisfactory result, a mistake, or a change of mind.

During this short window, some of the pigment can still be lifted before it settles fully into the skin, which may improve the outcome compared with waiting weeks or months. Because fresh skin heals quickly, this procedure works best the sooner it's carried out after the original tattoo.

The technique is the same saline method used on older tattoos: a sterile, single-needle machine works along the existing lines, drawing ink up through the skin as it heals. Results can't be guaranteed for emergency cases specifically, since so much depends on how deep the ink was placed — further sessions may still be needed once the initial fade settles.

If this is you, don't wait — message us on WhatsApp with a photo of the tattoo and we'll tell you honestly whether same-day or next-day treatment is realistic for your case.

Ideal for:

  • A tattoo you regret within the first day
  • Wrong design, spelling, or placement
  • Fresh ink, before it fully settles

From £100, depending on the size of the tattoo — get in touch as soon as possible after your session.

What a emergency removal session involves

We start with a quick, honest assessment — by WhatsApp photo if you need speed, or in person at the studio — to check the tattoo is fresh enough for emergency treatment and confirm there's nothing that would affect healing.

The area is cleaned with antiseptic before we begin. The same sterile, single-needle machine used for all our saline work is run along the existing lines of the fresh tattoo, drawing the pigment up through the skin rather than breaking it down internally.

Because the tattoo is so recent, the skin is already in an active healing state, so aftercare matters even more than usual: keeping the area dry, avoiding makeup or products on it, and letting any scab shed on its own without picking at it.

Safety & hygiene

  • Sterile, single-use needles for every session — the same standard we hold for all treatments, not a reduced one for speed
  • A short health check even for emergency bookings, to rule out active infection, pregnancy, or a history of keloid scarring before we start
  • Written aftercare guidance sent immediately after your session, since you'll be managing two healing processes at once — the original tattoo and the removal work

Emergency Removal — common questions

Can emergency removal fully remove a brand-new tattoo?+

Not guaranteed — saline removal is a lightening process at any stage, and a very fresh tattoo can still need further sessions once the initial fade settles. Acting within 12–24 hours simply gives you the best possible starting position.

What if it's been longer than 24 hours since I got the tattoo?+

You can still book standard saline removal — it just no longer counts as an emergency case. The same method applies at any tattoo age; see our body tattoo removal or eyebrow tattoo removal pages depending on the area.

Does emergency removal hurt more than a normal session?+

Most clients describe the discomfort as similar to getting the original tattoo. Treating an area that's already freshly tattooed can feel more tender, which is why gentle aftercare in the days after matters as much as the session itself.
